Q: How do I book a belly dancer?
A: The process is simple! Email Rosa or call (207) 409-9540 to inquire about availability and details. Rosa is happy to answer all of your questions.
Once you have determined mutual compatibility, Rosa will send you a performance contract and an online invoice for a non-refundable deposit. The deposit guarantees your date and time, and can be paid via credit card or check.
Rosa will typically arrive at your event 15-30 minutes prior to her start time. If the event is a surprise, her assistant will enter first and connect with the host or event planner. At every event, Rosa's assistant will take care of the sound system and music to ensure a seamless transition.
Q: Will Rosa travel to my event?
A: Don't hesitate to inquire! Travel to locations more than 5 miles from downtown Portland is charged at $1/mile round trip.
Q: Is belly dance family-friendly?
A: Yes, indeed! Belly dance is meant to be enjoyed by all.
In many parts of the Middle East, weddings, birth celebrations, and other family events are not complete without a belly dancer to usher in the new era.
Q: What does the performer wear?
A: The shiny and sparkly beaded costume with a long skirt is called "bedlah" (“suit” in Arabic). Rosa's costumes typically come from top designers in Egypt and Turkey. More conservative options are also available.

A: Yes, Rosa will typically bring recorded music and a sound system. She can also work with a DJ if you have booked one for your event.
